Appearance of a product should convey coherently the technical quality that generated that product.
A product passes on what it is through its form and appearance. If we look around we will identify different meanings that each product gives us. To adequate those meanings is a design aim.
Design has also as a task: to adequate the product to production processes or to the available technology, adequate the product to the market it’s aimed to (inland or export market), adequate the product to its times, adequate a product as part of a family or group, etc. Design is nowadays a strategic factor in consistent business politics!
